Project description: Intute was a free online service that helped students, teachers, and researchers to find the best academic web resources on the Internet. Intute employed subject specialists to review and evaluate thousands of resources to identify the key websites in your subject. It also sought to develop Internet research skills through 'Virtual Training Suite' tutorials, written by lecturers and librarians from universities across the UK. Funding for the Intute service was reduced in July 2010, and Oxford's participation in the service ceased. The University of Manchester and the University of Bristol continue to support Intute in a limited form.
