Operations Manager - Digital Innovation and Open Scholarship Hub

Grade 7: £32,817 - £40,322 p.a.

The Humanities Division and Bodleian Libraries seek an experienced individual who will take responsibility for the management of the new Digital Innovation and Open Scholarship Hub. The new Hub, launching in January 2021, is part of a large University Strategic Research Fund investment over the next five years to support the development of digital scholarship activities.

In this new role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Hub’s activities and administrative resources, working closely with the Head of the Centre for Digital Scholarship, a new academic Director, colleagues in the Bodleian Weston Library and Scholarly Resources, and colleagues within research support the Humanities Divisional Office. The post is fixed-term for 5 years in the first instance, but renewable subject to available funding.

We need an excellent communicator who can work with a range of stakeholders across the University including academic and research staff, curators, technical specialists, and students. You will have experience of working with external partners to deliver online and onsite events and develop training. You will be a central point of contact for using the Centre for Digital Scholarship, for possible external partnerships and for funding opportunities.

You will have experience of project management as well as staff and budget management. You will have excellent communication skills, good IT skills and the flexible approach needed to contribute to a diverse number of areas including research administration, publicity, and events.
