Although now retired, Sir John continues to contribute to the web site academic programs, particularly those concerning sculpture, gems and dictionary entries. He is also engaged on a broader project about Greeks in Asia and a study of the iconography of the Triumph of Dionysos to the present day. And with Claudia Wagner and Diana Scarisbrick on the publication of a major French private collection of gems.
