Project Description:

This EPSRC project, led by Marina Jirotka from the University of Oxford (PI) and Bernd Stahl from De Montfort University (CI) has built a researcher network focussed upon ethical issues in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) through a baseline study to understand and analyse current perceptions of ethics in ICT.

For the research community the project has:
1. Fostered network of researchers concerned with RI in ICT
2. Run a series of workshops
3. Developed an RRI Observatory to hold information and disseminate best practice
4. Undertaken a number of detailed case studies taken across the ICT spectrum
5. Run a series of calls for proposals
6. Conducted a landscape study of RRI in ICT
7. Developing a Framework for Responsible Research and Innovation in ICT
