  • The Digital Humanities at Oxford Network organises training and events. Check our News and Events page for details. 
  • IT Services - offer a wide ranging programme of courses and training in IT and information skills for all. Additionally, you can also access lynda.com, a huge resource of online, video-based courses that University members can use at any time for free.
  • Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School - a major international training event in Digital Humanities, this annual week-long event includes multiple parallel workshops of DH training.
  • The Bodleian iSkills Programme – workshops for postgraduates and researchers in information discovery and scholarly communications

  • Considering a DPhil? - staff members of the Oxford e-Research Centre and the Oxford Internet Institute can offer joint supervision for your DPhil.

Support

Oxford offers a great deal of support for Digital Humanities in the form of services, networks and training opportunities. This support is dispersed across the University. Here we aim to guide you through the resources available.

Creating and Running a Digital Humanities Research Project

  • Research Support from IT Services - help with the technical aspects of a funding proposal, support for making audio/video presentations, help to scope and design web applications and websites for research projects. Email: researchsupport@it.ox.ac.uk
  • Research Data Management - locating tools, services and technologies, and understanding research data management, provided by representatives from the Bodleian Libraries, the Oxford e-Research Centre, IT Services, and Research Services.
  • Research Facilitators - if you are in the Humanities Division, these are your first point of contact for all external funding applications. They work with all researchers from early-career post-doctoral fellows to senior researchers.
