1. Introduction

2. Definitions

In these terms and conditions:

  • "OUCS" means Oxford University Computing Services
  • "Applicant" means an individual who has submitted a booking form for a course
  • "Participant" means an individual who has a confirmed place on a course
  • "In Writing" means by letter, email, or fax

3. Booking procedure

Applicants should complete the booking form. Bookings must be made by the applicant. If a course place is required for another applicant please contact the Courses Office. Places cannot be reserved before a course opens for booking.

By paying for an event applicants are agreeing to the cancellation terms and conditions of booking.

4. Booking confirmation

Acknowledgement of the booking will be sent via email.

5. Joining instructions

Joining instructions will be sent via email prior to the course.

6. Prerequisites

Applicants must ensure that the have attained any prerequisite knowledge as may be set out in the course description.

7. Charging

There is a participant charge which includes a charge for event resources. Payment is required in advance.

8. Payment methods

Payment can be made by:

  • Cash
  • Credit/Debit card
  • Invoice - A purchase order will be required which must be sent to us prior to the course. Participants must make sure that he/she has a confirmed place on a course before sending us a purchase order for payment .

9. Substitutions

Substitutions may be made by contacting the Course Office prior to the course. This must be done to ensure that records are up-to-date and that attendance certificates/registers can be produced correctly.

10. Cancellation of a course by OUCS

On occasion, unforeseen circumstances may require OUCS to cancel an event. In such circumstances ITLP will give as much notice as possible and endeavour to organise another event date, or refund any fees paid but no compensation will be paid for any additional costs incurred. We recommend that your travel insurance adequately covers last minute travel delays and disruption.

11. Refunds

The following refund policy is applicable for these courses.

Where notice of cancellation is received we will refund a proportion of the course fee as follows. The non-refundable portion of the course fee is £207.50 and cannot be reimbursed.

Accommodation at Merton College, if required, must be booked at least 7 working days before the event start day. The refund policy below applies to the registration fee and accommodation bookings.
