Bursaries 2016

ALL BURSARIES HAVE NOW BEEN AWARDED.

DHOxSS this year was pleased to announce a small number of bursaries (covering registration only) are available to students and early-career researchers. The original deadline for submission was: 17:00 BST (GMT+1), 18 April 2016.

Eligibility

Applicants for the bursaries could come from any institution and must:

  • Be a doctoral, MPhil, or Masters student in full-time or part-time education, or
  • Be an early-career researcher in a higher or further education institution not more than 3 years passed receipt of their PhD (i.e. passed your viva examination in April 2013 or later)
  • Not have already registered for DHOxSS 2016
  • Not have received a bursary to attend DHOxSS in previous years

Application

Apply for a bursary before 17:00 BST (GMT+1), 18 April 2016. [webform link removed, bursary applications closed]

You will be asked for the following information:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Affiliation
  • Career stage (student or early-career researcher)
  • Your plans if you do not receive a bursary
  • Preferred workshop
  • A short statement of your intended use of digital techniques in your area of research and the benefits you expect from attending DHOxSS 2016 (Max 250 words)

Timetable

ALL BURSARIES HAVE BEEN AWARDED. Applications for DHOxSS 2016 bursaries were due by 17:00 BST (GMT+1) on 18 April 2016.

Applicants will be notified of results by the end of Friday 29 April 2016.

Digital Musicology Bursaries

The Digital Musicology workshop has an additional two scholarships for delegates attending the Digital Musicology workshop of the Digital Humanities at Oxford Summer School 2016. One scholarship is provided by the Arts and Humanities Research Council's Digital Transformations Theme and the other is provided by the University of Oxford e-Research Centre and Transforming Musicology project.
